Violet Evergarden Review

To top it off, Violet Evergarden was a very…..fascinating anime. It contained beautiful animation and moved the hearts of many. Furthermore, it was upsetting to know that she wasn’t treated like a human but a slave for war, and the only person that ever treated her right was dead. So, in the anime, she joins a company that writes letters to people in order to understand what Gilbert meant what he told her, “I love you,” as his last words. Therefore, I would really recommend this anime to those who enjoy a good yet slow story.

Why do anime people have huge eyes?

In anime, people would always question why anime characters have huge eyes. The answer is: to show more emotion instead of keeping a blank face all the time. It also makes the anime more interesting and dramatic with their constant changing expressions. For example, if anime characters had realistic faces and eye sizes, they wouldn’t express as much emotion and the story wouldn’t feel complete. Therefore, anime eyes are huge because of it’s ability to express emotion. In Japan, there’s a saying, “eyes are the window to the soul.”

Death Parade Review

Image result for Death Parade

Death Parade is a very fascinating anime with a dark psychological genre. It is about people playing a game “with their lives on the line” to get judged. They either go to the reincarnation cycle or void. In addition, although there are winners to the game, it doesn’t mean the loser goes to void, a dark, empty space. In fact, the game is a tool used to find out the characters’ dark personalities and how they really are. For example, on the outside, they could act nice and friendly while they are actually selfish on the inside. Therefore, I would definitely recommend this anime if you’re into psychological animes!

Alicization Ending (SPOILERS)

Image result for eugeo death

By the way, if you don’t want any spoilers, SKIP THIS POST!!! For those who’ve finished watching Alicization, it ended with a cliffhanger that caused many fans, like myself, frustration. Eugeo turned himself into a sword in order to protect Kirito and Alice from the grips of Quinella, the Administrator but he died doing so. However, I’m confused on what actually happened. Did the “original” Alice die with Eugeo? Also, Kirito was given orders to evacuate into a different world but did he make it?

The Promised Neverland Review

Related image

The Promised Neverland a new anime made from a manga. It certainly stands out from all the recent new series coming out. Furthermore, The Promised Neverland brings out a new concept which is differentiates from the rest of the anime industry. It’s an anime about orphans being raised to become eaten when they are “adopted.” However, like steak, the quality of the children’s taste depends on their IQ and psychological state. However, as the children found out the truth of what was happening at the orphanage, they decided to plan to escape with everyone no matter how impossible it seemed. I really liked the story behind The Promised Neverland because it’s different from all the stories I have read and watched. In addition, like most animes or mangas, the author of this one ultilizes the full potential of the story to make it great instead of trashy.

The Outbreak of Isekai Mangas/Anime

(Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu)

Ever since last year, there has been a great outbreak of Isekai (transportation/reincarnation) mangas. At first there were the only cliché ones where the hero gets summoned to save the world or something. However, they started getting really popular last year due to the really interesting ones about revenge or have strong main characters. So many have been made that kissmanga even created a tag for it!

Some really popular mangas (or my favorites XD) include Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu and Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari. Unlike others where they get hit by Truck-kun to be transported into another world to save it, they live their lives separated from the world. (Not really a spoiler) but in both of the mangas they are much stronger than the other heroes they are summoned with due to being isolated and leveling up themselves which also increases their experience with the outside world.

In Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, Iwatani Naofumi was summoned to another world as the shield hero with three others whom are the spear, sword, and bow heroes. However, due to him being discriminated against as a shield hero, he was given false charges and casted aside by the King and princess to survive without any of their support. In Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu, Misumi Makoto, was summoned to another world in order to be a hero and save it from demons. However, due to his looks not being to the goddess’s liking, she transported him to the edge of the world to not mingle with her beloved humans.

In Isekai mangas, although it’d be pretty cool to be transported to another world where you get to run away from all your problems, I believe what the authors are trying to say is that we should be facing our issues rather than be avoiding them. Also, although it can be fun and games, it means abandoning your previous life to live in another one even though they don’t protray it in manga.

Thus, my opinion on the outbreak of Isekai mangas and animes is that it should continue!! However, I think that they should start making more diverse stories such as the examples above. I feel that nowadays authors tend to be using the same idea and concept but are just adjusting them to “make it their own.”

Seven Deadly Sins P.O.T.S. Review

Honestly, I believe that this is one of the best anime movies I’ve ever seen. (Although I may be a bit biased towards it since it’s one of my favorite animes) I feel satisfied with the storyline, animation, and overall the FIGHTING SCENES. Also, I feel that the movie is a great way to continue the story after season two. (BTW, on Netflix, although it says that there’s three seasons, there’s only two. “Season two” is only an OVA for season one.) However, I also wondered why Meliodas seemed a bit weak in the movie compared to season two. For instance, in season two, Meliodas was able to defeat one of the Ten Commandments easily after regaining his true power and dying once. However, in the movie, he didn’t defeat them as quickly or easily. I hypothesize that the producers wanted to prolong the fight to entertain viewers for a longer period. Thus, Prisoners of the Sky was a pretty very good anime movie if you’re looking for great art, storylines, and fighting scenes!Related image

SAO Alicization Review

Image result for sao season 1

I’ve never been sure if SAO would ever be one of the top animes again. In season one, it had a really nice beginning; however, as the story progresses, it suddenly became a harem. I believe that SAO season 1 had a lot of potential if they worked more on the storyline instead of “how cool Kirito is.” For me, it was super intriguing until the parts where it becomes a harem. In my opinion, I think that it would’ve been better if they had just stuck with KiritoXAsuna instead of ALL THE GIRLS.

But in the second season, I’ve always suspected that SAO would make a comeback with GGO. Perhaps it’s due to the amazing art and colors but never would I have known that it would have added ANOTHER girl to the harem. Although I have to admit that the anime had a great storyline and animation, the harem parts makes people lose interest. Thus, season 2 also “ended as a harem.”

Because I had experienced the first two seasons of SAO, I literally had no expectations of Alicization. Due to the fact of ending with a harem in both seasons, it made it lose its credibility of producing a good anime (for me of course!). It led me to have an impression that “SAO is only interesting in the first few episodes and will get boring later on” I also asked many other people and they seem to agree with me.

Having the mindset of “SAO is boring” led me think that all of the further seasons will be boring. To be honest, the only reason I watch SAO is because of Asuna or Kirito. However, to those who are reading this very long review of SAO, I strongly recommend you guys to give SAO another chance. Did I? Yes! And was it interesting? Absolutely!

I finally realized that I shouldn’t have judged Alicization based on the previous seasons. This time, it actually had a good great story! Back in season 1 and 2, many of the fights were meaningless. The animators just added fighting scenes to make the characters more appealing. However, in Alicization, the fight scenes helped the story progress and made sense. Therefore, Alicization is actually pretty good and I suggest that everyone should give it a shot.

Seven Deadly Sins Review

Image result for seven deadly sins with all characters

I can see why the Seven Deadly Sins is one of the top animes in multiple anime websites. As I was watching it, it lured me in with its unique humor and their fascinating plots. Furthermore, the creator of the anime didn’t focus on just one of the character, but all of them including their life stories. With each character carrying different unique abilities, it makes the anime much more interesting. In addition, there are no long fillers and that there’s something new to surprise us with every new episode. Therefore, I would definitely recommend this anime due to the AMAZING plots and the unique characters it contains!

Kakegurui Review

Image result for kakegurui wallpaper

There are many different types of anime being created today. However, many get boring due to them all being very similar to each other. In other words, they’re redundant and cliché. There hasn’t been much “unique” anime coming lately and those that are actually interesting has ended or being put on hold.

So I’ve watched Kakegurui and have finished it. My opinion on this anime is that it is very different the usual anime I watch. It contains very unique art with a lot of details on the characters faces which is very uncommon in the usual anime being released. Furthermore, the story had the people be engaged and want more. For example, it was full of dramatic scenes and actually had good cliffhangers unlike some. To conclude, I thought that Kakegurui was a really good anime if you enjoy things with drama.
